Monica Clevenger

Monica was born and raised in Decatur IL, graduating valedictorian at Meridian High School. She received her associates from Richland Community College and completed her bachelor’s at Illinois State University in Finance. She started her career in ADM’s accounting department providing executives debt and marketable securities reporting. After several promotions, she landed a role in their finance group analyzing the profitability of various business segments.

Although she enjoyed her various roles at ADM, Monica eventually joined her father as a Financial Advisor. As a financial advisor, Monica enjoys working closely with her clients and connecting on a personal level to better understand what matters most to them. She has found financial advising is most aligned with her passion of personal finance, investing, and helping others during critical decision points in life.

Monica is married to Stephen Clevenger, also a member of Idle Clevenger Wealth Management. They enjoy traveling to visit family and being active outdoors with their children – Louis (2018), and Lily (2021). As a Decatur resident, they spend their time soaking up the wonderful attractions the community has to offer – Scovill Zoo, Splash Cove, Devon Amphitheatre, and introducing their kids to park races and the competition at neighborhood pickleball courts. Monica has served as treasurer for the Decatur Area Habitat for Humanity since 2018 and volunteers her time at Renaissance Church playing keyboard.
